‘Club For Growth’ is Needed in Delaware

June 30th, 2008 · 11 Comments

The Club for Growth is an organization with an affiliated PAC that recruits more conservative candidates to run in the Republican primaries against what they perceive as ”RINO” incumbents, or who are not sufficiently supportive of a socially conservative, low-tax and limited-government agenda.
The Club has had success in running in open races with the candidates they endorse, but less success [...]

June 30th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I don’t and never will buy bottled water

June 30th, 2008 · 17 Comments

It’s a complete waste. If you stop to think about it buying a 20oz soda for a $1.45 is a rip off when you can buy a 2ltr for $1.50 at the grocery store. It is freaking beyond me how people are so freaking gullible as to buy tap water in a freeking bottle.

I just got this email from Full Tilt Poker:
Dear Jason330,

June 30th, 2008 · 5 Comments

Boing Boing has the story.

Oh no! Walt Disney World’s Adventurer’s Club — a wonderfully eccentric nightclub/cabaret that features “on stage” character actors as well as remote-controlled robotic masks, puppets, instruments, stools, and other gags that interact with the guests — is scheduled to close!
The Adventurer’s Club is hands-down the coolest and most interesting attraction at [...]

Democrats, Let’s get serious about ending abortion…

June 30th, 2008 · 44 Comments

…by ending unwanted pregnancies.
A recent study showed that 49% of the pregnancies concluding in 1994 were unintended; 54% of these ended in abortion.
Clearly, if we want to get some traction on reducing the number of teenager pregnancies we should look toward the “pro-life” movement as partners rather than adversaries.
It is a well researched fact that [...]

Last year Jason and Dave Burris came up with an idea to have an annual bloggers convention/conference.  The idea seemed to be received with a great deal of interest, but died on the vine.  Several of us here at DL have decided to pursue the idea with more committment.  Jason, Pandora and I have promised [...]

Sunday Morning Open Thread with Coffee

To John Carney’s credit, his campaign has removed my Obama pics from his website.
To his detriment, he still has not issued any statement concerning his position on Governor Minner’s veto of the eminent domain bill.    According to a commenter over at Down with Absolutes, Carney is actually opposed to the bill.  So it actually [...]
