DelawareLiberal DNC Credentials Rejected By Tom Carper

Filed in National by on May 22, 2008

Not that Tommy would not do a good job, but Tom Carper knew that Liberalgeek, Donviti, Cassandra, Pandora and myself in Denver would overload the grid and cause a multi-state blackout.

Bottom Line: It seems liberal blogs that have been critical of their state parties didn’t do so well in the selection process.

  1. Pandora says:

Sigh… Denver sounded like fun. Alas, if only Tom Carper did something like… oh, I don’t know, maybe endorse someone… I could write about having his baby. Or not. 🙂

  2. anon says:

Carper endorsed Lieberman; does that count?

Oh and he endorsed Biden too, in Iowa.

I suggest we establish a prize ($1000??) for a photo of Tom Carper standing at a podium smiling and holding his hands clasped high with the Dem House candidate.

It would easier to get a photo of Bigfoot.

  3. Rebecca says:

But, unfortunately, he’ll be on every stage this summer standing next to Castle (can he still stand?) and the photos will run in the WNJ on the front of the local section.

  4. annon2 says:

Even though I often disagree with the views, this is Delaware’s best blog team. Unfortunately, insults often replace intellectual dialogue. But whatever. If there’s an award for investigative blogging, you should get it for exposing McDowell. (There are national awards you know. You should submit that series). Now I need to go over and respond to the other posts. It’s a slow workday. But really, you expected more from Carper and the state dems?

One of the reasons I have suggested the state Progressive Democratic Caucus might do better if it dropped the middle word.

  6. we could still go to Denver, we just wouldn’t get in with press passes. We pal around with enough of the other “geeks” that flew out there, no doubt we could get in

    I say we still go

  7. liberalgeek says:

I think that the deal is that we can still get “unwashed masses” press passes. This would allow us into the hall, but not on the floor. Those credentials are due to be awarded soon. If we get them, I say we crash in Tom’s room.

  8. cassandra m says:

Did anyone apply for credentials from DE Liberal?

  9. liberalgeek says:

Yes. We lost to Tommywonk, and now we are in the running for a spot in the general blogger pool.

  10. G Rex says:

“I say we crash in Tom’s room.”

Carper or Noyes? I bet Carper’s has a better minibar.

  11. wRong says:

Nah, Carper’s bar wouldn’t be that hot. He’s a health nut (except toward wounded American soldiers), and doesn’t approve of that stuff. Plus, its rumored that he’s so tight that if you put a lump of coal up his ass it would be a diamond in two days.

  12. TommyWonk says:

Well, that’s just what I need: the unwashed masses from DL crashing in my room.

  13. liberalgeek says:

We may wash up a little, in your honor.
