  Blogging gets in your blood. I could no more quit than I could quit breathing. I think Dave is cut from the same cloth.

  cassandra - no. C’mon. I am the one who helps Jason with his deck…and his hiatus…and dealing with Frightland…and telling him how to correctly mail books to a prize recipient…and so on. I reside in his freaking nightmares! His house, too. In the basement somewhere…or the attic. Doobie-doobie-doo….

  Yeah he’s up to something alright. Removing a large blogosphere bullseye someone keeps taping to his arse.

  Really I just can’t imagine why he would willingly give all this up…ya know, the drive-by tag team truth squads and roving rulemakers, the total dissection of your every word and your every move - even the ones in real life…. the sweet cacophony of faceless, colorless, odorless, merciless trolls…. the constant gunning for you to GIT YOUR COMEUPPANCE sonny boy!! And above all the inviolable love, loyalty, friendship, dignity and personal respect you find running rampant all over the Delaware Blogosphere’s alleys and recesses.

  In all seriousness, Tyler nailed it.

  It is my opinion that Dave takes more shit than he deserves, some of it far more bewilderingly vicious than is even in the same country as good taste. I’m sure if I were in that position, I would seriously consider the same choice.

  From that perspective, Dave did the right thing, and it is my hope that certain people will leave the guy alone, or at least scale it back to human, rather than rabid jackass.
