Tommywonk has been announced as the representative of the Delaware Blogosphere to the Democratic National Convention. The rest of us at DelawareLiberal.net will be spending the rest of the day crying in our beers.
Editor’s Note: This comment from a kos diarists bears repeating, because it ties Tommywonk’s trip to Denver to Truth Teller’s concern over Obama and Pandora’s post on those scary Republican 527’s
In the wake of the MS-01 win last night, can there be any doubt that Howard Dean has remade the Democratic Party with his 50-state strategy? Believe me, as an Idahoan, I can say it’s meant a world of difference to have a party chairman who actually cares about each state and territory. And today, Dr. Dean announced the 50-state blog strategy of one blog representing each of our states and territories, chosen from a pool of 400 applicants.

If it was not in the cards to be DelawareLiberal I would have it no other way.
Still……..FUCK!

Agreed. On all points.

Tommywonk brings the illusion of sobriety to the Big Dance. Not sure any of the rest of us could make that claim.

Congratulations, TommyWonk ! I can’t think of a better choice.

Not in any way trying to lend insult, but Tom is the only one of us that could do this, for exactly the reason the Sagacious Steve puts forward.
The rest of us indulge in too much invective/shenanigans/flamebaiting to be respectable enough!

Joe -
Indeed. It boggles the mind to think of Doviti standing next to Ruth Ann Minner on the convention floor.
TC -
Don’t you have some tariff subsidy bills you should be working on?

I work in mysterious ways, Jason. Works better than that old dart board any day. You big dummy!

“Indeed. It boggles the mind to think of Doviti standing next to Ruth Ann Minner on the convention floor.”
I can see him next to Minner easily enough. I just couldn’t picture him sitting next to any respectable politicians!

What’s worse is that this means I slept with you for nothing.

I’ve seen TommyWonk out in public in social settings, and I stand by my remarks.

Congratulations Tom! I’m so glad you will be covering our delegation to Denver. It should be really interesting and I can’t wait to read your blog.

Sagacious,
Do you have any pictures? Don’t make me subpoena your ass.

I’m checking with the DNCC to see if a scandal would get us the spot instead of Tommywonk. Jason, don’t publish until we have an answer…

Naah, no pix. Just seen him at quite a few concerts where he lets (what’s left of) his hair down.

Ouch…double burn.
19 TommyWonk // May 14, 2008 at 3:36 pm
What’s left of my hair? Are you sure you have the right guy?
20 liberalgeek // May 14, 2008 at 3:52 pm
true. Perhaps he has you and DonViti mixed up. It would all make sense then…

Didn’t mean to suggest you’ve got a chrome dome. Just that it’s shorter than I recall it during your years of city service.

Congrats, Tommywonk! You are going to have an excellent time.

I have to admit that I was hoping to do an audio/video extravaganza at the DNCC. I guess I may have to turn some of those plans to support Tom in his adventure.
You have to admit that having DV there would have been a reasonable facsimile of “Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail of 2008″ I would have happily played the part of the 300 pound Samoan lawyer.

i already had my camel pack ready to go with a nice dose of marguerita’s and I was stocking up on pain killers…
I still think we should “plan” a trip to just do sidewalk interviews

There are some non-DEM DE Blogs in the Delaware Blogosphere, just saying..
not to say that tommywonk is not the best choice for DEMs!! Congratulations!

Congrats Tom!!!
Hope you will make an effort to send us stuff Donviti would find interesting…not that same old same old dry crap.
