  He is a Cairn Terrier. That obedience training idea sounds liek a winner.

  Was “Rags” a negotiation with the kids, because you wanted “Wags,” but they just couldn’t bring themselves to the level of the Wiggles?

  Last time I took a dog to obedience training, was living in Minneapolis — but the Delaware Humane Association is a likely good choice. Other options shown here.

  It is worth every single minute.

  Spay/neuter! Hope you aren’t a lover of puppy mills. I prefer the mutts from Delaware Humane. The dog is cute, though. I recommend The Woodhouse Way, “No bad Dogs.” Excellent book and video. Also crate training is a must….
