Dogfish Head Shelter Pale Ale.
2 Sagacious Steve // Apr 30, 2008 at 10:37 am
I love Dogfish Head, I really do.
However, I think I’d pick Pilsner Urquell if I could only choose one. I never get tired of it.

Ordinarily, I’d opt for Stella Artois. But this weekend, I happened to try some Allagash Curieux. Mmmm. Belgian Ale aged in Bourbon Barrels. Oh my.

McEwan’s Export.
If I could only have one food for the rest of my life it would be Guinness Stout.
5 liberalgeek // Apr 30, 2008 at 11:07 am
Good food choice.

Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout for me can be enjoyed warm or cold
7 G Rex // Apr 30, 2008 at 11:25 am
What, no love for Iron Hill? Ironbound Ale for me, but Dogfish Shelter comes in a very close second.

Keep up the important work DonVD.

Free.

Pabst?
Kidding, of course.
Natural Light, thanks (damn you, Stone Balloon - some 15-17 years ago).
*CHOKE*GAG*
Only one beer? Call Dr. Kevorkian!

dv - Oatmeal Stout is incredible.
I would go with New Castle Brown Ale. Emminently drinkable.

St Pauli Girl Dark

Spaten Optimator-good year round. I like a lot of seasonal beers but love Spaten O anytime.

In your empty homes poll, does it count as empty if squatters are in there?
15 Al Mascitti // Apr 30, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Victory Hop Devil IPA, though Stone IPA is growing on me.
16 RSmitty // Apr 30, 2008 at 12:25 pm
What about Hoogarten? (I have zero idea how to spell that, but Al made me think of the commercial on WDEL)
17 Lee Brill // Apr 30, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA would do.
18 Duffy // Apr 30, 2008 at 12:33 pm
Either Dogfish 90 Minute or Brooklyn’s Black Chocolate Stout
19 Allan Loudell // Apr 30, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Trois Pistoles (Unibroue) Quebec
For basic lager:
Dos Equis Amber or Molson Ice
Love the Dogfish Head line, but not sure I could stick with any particular brew forever!

Allan -
Stop being a shill for Clinton. Objectivity was once the hallmark of your broadcasts. I want that back.
21 George // Apr 30, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Stella Artois
22 Allan Loudell // Apr 30, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Sorry you think that Jason.
People who really know me know my neutrality.
Be happy to discuss over a pilsner, ale, or lambic!
23 G Rex // Apr 30, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Lambic? You elitist!
24 Von Cracker // Apr 30, 2008 at 3:01 pm
In honor of my hometown:
New Castle Brown Ale
25 RSmitty // Apr 30, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Ah, yes, Allan, but what have you done for Jason lately? That is the question (snark intentional).
You should look at his “Ask Dr. Liberal: Jeremiah Wright-wingers” post to see where he and others are coming from, tho.
If what Pandora says in the lower part of the comments is accurate, I wonder why the easy release of the angle about the event coordinator for the press club event. Makes it hard for me to be your cheerleader (again - snark intentional).
Oh, and keeping it to the post…
Natty Boh!
Quick, call Kevorkian again! AARRRGGHHH!!!!
26 Allan Loudell // Apr 30, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Thank you G Rex…
I was thinking about posting a blog on elitism and the Presidential race, and you’ve given me just one more incentive!
27 Pandora // Apr 30, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Allan, Smitty hyped your neutrality and said that you’d be discussing a Hillary’s supporter influence over Rev. Wright’s appearance at the Press Club. So… I listened. You spent about 10 sec. on the topic, (1 question, 1 blow off answer) and now Smitty owes me a big, fat drink!
Honestly, I don’t really care about this crap, but, then again, at least I’m consistent… I didn’t care about Rev. Wright either.
28 Delaware's Hottest Blogger // Apr 30, 2008 at 3:25 pm
Allan,
thanks for answering, I don’t listen to you so I don’t really have an opinion
now can I be a guest on your show someday for a half hour? With my looks, your ratings would soar!
29 liberalgeek // Apr 30, 2008 at 3:36 pm
Yeah, you have a great face for radio, DV.
30 meatball // Apr 30, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Dogfish hasn’t been the same since they moved the brewery.
For me, old reliable SA Boston Lager.
31 TommyWonk // Apr 30, 2008 at 4:17 pm
I like Dogfish Head’s Punkin’ Ale.
32 Pandora // Apr 30, 2008 at 4:28 pm
DV, sorry about hijacking your thread, but I don’t drink beer. Now… if you’d asked about wine…
33 Delaware's Hottest Blogger // Apr 30, 2008 at 4:29 pm
Man law Pandora, sorry…perhaps there is a cider that tickles your fancy
34 Delaware's Hottest Blogger // Apr 30, 2008 at 4:30 pm
meatball? is that you Giovanni! I’m ok with SA but I think their product is losing it’s edge too.
35 Steel town Girl // Apr 30, 2008 at 5:10 pm
Listen up you punks and chumps…it’s IRON CITY or it’s not worth opening
36 Von Cracker // Apr 30, 2008 at 5:13 pm
No, it’s IC Lite!
37 meatball // Apr 30, 2008 at 6:57 pm
Meatball is Meatball (as in a).
38 the cajun // Apr 30, 2008 at 8:52 pm
I’m with DHB;
Smith’s Stout, preferably warm. Totally different flavour that is lost when chilled.
I’m just sayin’.
39 Steel town Girl // May 1, 2008 at 10:31 am
VC….can a proper Boilermaker be made w/IC lite? (HRC wants to know).
40 Von Cracker // May 1, 2008 at 10:52 am
A proper boilermaker must be made with only the best, like Old Mud, Narragansett, Beast, Pabst, Natty Bo, Piels, Hamm’s, or IC….
…I would assume their Lite counterparts would suffice!
