Lofink Pushes the Dennis McGlynn Checkbook Enhancement Act

Filed in National by on April 28, 2008

Attempting to further enrich Dennis McGlynn by allowing sports betting at Dover Downs is an ongoing project for Lofink. Today he is using the economic news to press for this windfall for his buddy McGlynn (HB190).

(It seems to me that if we stopped putitng children (and husbands) of legislators in jobs where they can steal millions of dollars from the state we’d be in better fincnail shape, but that is another post topic.)

As for McGlynn – in additon to Lofink he has a bunch of heavy hitters pulling for him to get his new beachfront place in St. Barts.

Bobby Byrd is the main lobbyist for the Dennis McGlynn Checkbook Enhancement Act and Gary Ward, a lobbyists who happens to work for International Sports Link, Inc. just happens to have an editoral in today’s Delaware State News about how great sports betting is.

At least Gary Ward is open about the fact that this Dover Downs operation is just the narrow edge of the wedge and that his ultimate goal is to bring sports betting to “parlors” in Lewes and Rehoboth.
