Last Chance to Support the Autism Society of Delaware

That little widget on the right has bee staring at you for almost a month now.  You still haven’t clicked it and made a donation…  The walk is this weekend and it will really help a segment of our population that can use all of the help they can get.

The Autism Society of Delaware has recently started placing adults with autism in jobs.  In order to ramp this up they need to hire staff that will help supervise the Autistic workers.  This is a true example of heroism.  30 years ago an adult with autism was likely institutionalized without an opportunity to contribute to society, interact with co-workers or earn a paycheck.  Innovative programs like this one ( I believe the first non-profit endeavor of its kind in Delaware) are essential to bridging the gap between this special group of people and the society at large.

Please think about giving a donation today.
