There is something of a difference though. She said that X fathered a child and harassed women. Whereas I said what I heard and WONDERED: “It makes me wonder if it’s true.”
She asserted it as true. I never said I believed it was true, only I wondered if it was.
So by that reasoning, if Nancy had just said “I heard that X had fathered a child and harrassed women. This photo of X next to a hot woman makes me wonder if those rumors are true.” That would be OK (or at least better)?
I think that was Nancy’s point in her understandably bitter comment above.

I certainly don’t want to draw your ire, but it does seem to me that it illustrates an important point in the blogosphere. We all have our prejudices here and overreacting to them is sometimes setting the bar too high for any of us to adhere to. Or something like that…

Garrett suffers from his ownover blown ego. There are doctors who can help and drugs that might bring him around, but until that day should happily come, I am best off not dignifying his tripe with the attention he craves.
BTW I do still have a copy of the Potter Paper. I will be happy to post it on the blog. And everything that I have said about the Market Street PAL and his wife, Velda is true as reported to me from individuals who left her employ. No one in the District likes Potter.
Last summer, the state auditor told me of a pattern from Potter and Williams where they call for investigations of their political opponents and their friends. This is undisputed and provable and has happened over and over again. Look for it, Dana, very soon, there will likely be an investigation of those two in regards to bringing politically-based and unfounded charges against innocent people.
The attorney general’s office has completed their investigation of the People Settlement Association and its executive director, my good friend, Keith Lake. There was not a scintilla of basis for the charges brought against this good agency and its staff by these politicians.
But that is the pattern every political season, up comes another charge. In the past it has been the 1212 non-profit. I heard that this year it is the Kingwood Center where Potters current opponent for council is employed.
Your boys are going down, Dana. This has nothing at all to do with race. This has to do with character and integrity. Like I have said before, you ought to grow some.
If people are going to send this guy letters in support of the off shore wind farm, maybe they should use communication he can relate to better than e-mail…like a letter in the US Mail…or a short note via pony express….

By the way, some of their M.O. seems to be to stage take-overs of these vulnerable agencies just to gain control of the resources and hand out jobs to their political allies and girl friends etc. They tried to force Keith to hire Rourk Moore so that he could have a good job when they wanted to run him against Hazel Plant. They also backed Liz Allen in her run against Plant.
They used Antoine Oakley to stage the trumped up charges against Lake in exchange for what can only be assumed was the promise of Lake’s job running the PSA. And they all acted against the agency bylaws and common decency when they passed confidential agency files to Gerry Fulcher when he worked for WDEL. Gerry had the bad taste to repeat their cherry-picked story over the air in an effort to undermine this community center on the east side. They seemingly had no compunction against gaining some political advantage and bringing down one of the only institutions left for this vulnerable community when they attacked Keith and the PSA.

It was painful for me and many others who were actively worknig with Keith Lake, Jalaal Karim Bey, Rev. Thorton, and myself, a team who had already had several face to face conversations with Judges to change to reform the prison system. Two years of work went down the tubes, because of all this. PSA will be fine, no matter what administrative activity or non-activity occurs.
