Remember to SHOP WALMART THIS WEEKEND!!

Filed in National by on March 27, 2008

I know I have slammed WalMart in the past but no more I tell you!  It’s the new Donviti!  Kindler, Gentler and more appreciative of a company trying to get back $417k in medical costs in order to get it make another $11bil in profit this year!

This is sort I highlighted before but it has crept back into the news and now with a twist….

Eight years ago, Shank was stocking shelves for the retail giant and signed up for Wal-Mart’s health and benefits plan.

Two years after the accident, Shank and her husband, Jim, were awarded about $1 million in a lawsuit against the trucking company involved in the crash. After legal fees were paid, $417,000 was placed in a trust to pay for Debbie Shank’s long-term care.

In short, Walmart sued for $470k!!!! YES, $63k ABOVE what Debbie was awarded.  Pretty sweet huh?

Oh, the twist you ask?

Debbie Shank breaks down in tears every time she’s told that her 18-year-old son, Jeremy, was killed in Iraq.

So remember to shop Walmart this weekend.  That $.25 you save on those forks you buy instead of from another place are going to a Morally Bankrupt company.  Milton Friedman would be so fucking proud of them.

  1. I still can’t wrap my head around this equation:

Walmart + Arkansas + Clintons in Governor’s house + Hillary on Walmart board + Clintons in White House + Bill Clinton shilling for communist China’s inclusion into the World Trade Organization + Walmart’s rise up out of China’s corruption + What we have today in China’s tearing through the world’s raw resources while polluting itself into oblivion and suppressing all people who are in their way including their own subjects = Hillary as President?

  2. donviti says:

  3. Von Cracker says:
