I hope to make this one., but I’m going to leave that up in the air because I don’t want DV to not show on my account
Comment by Brian on 27 February 2008 at 7:06 am:
Jason, If I make this one are you buying?
Comment by disbelief on 27 February 2008 at 7:12 am:
Why can’t you have these in like Smyrna or Middletown so its a little more centralized?
Comment by jason330 on 27 February 2008 at 7:12 am:
It is always nice to meet DELiberal readers and commenters face to face…
…but not that nice.
Comment by Brian on 27 February 2008 at 7:14 am:
Ok Jason, if you make this one, I’ll buy one for you for all your hard work here…
Comment by Pandora on 27 February 2008 at 7:55 am:
I think I can make it, but I don’t know what anybody looks like. Is there a spot in Timothy’s where you’ll be meeting? Or, maybe, a signal like in the movie The Sting?
Comment by jason330 on 27 February 2008 at 8:32 am:
I’ll be wearing a Jack Markell button.
…and a tiara.
Comment by disbelief on 27 February 2008 at 8:51 am:
Are you going to borrow Still’s tiara?
Make sure to wash it before you put it on your head.
Comment by TPN on 27 February 2008 at 9:14 am:
There’ll be a lavish catered after-party at my joint…for Republicans who show up….
Comment by nemski on 27 February 2008 at 9:49 am:
LOL Tyler. Does a former Young Republican count?
Anways, the wife has given me permission to show up. So I’ll be there with bells on.
Comment by Joe M on 27 February 2008 at 9:56 am:
I’ve seen Tylers pad. It could easily fit all the DE republicans =P
Comment by TPN on 27 February 2008 at 10:01 am:
Hmmm, a former YR….AND a fellow Polack? I dunno, you make a strong case Nemsk….unlike that other snarky Polack who shall remain nameless, except that his name is JoeM.
(BTW, my maternal grandfather was Stosh Karmanski, lest I be called out as an anti-Pole Ron Paul supporter.)
Comment by RSmitty on 27 February 2008 at 10:10 am:
Jason – will the Texas Hold’Em continue there, now that the Middletown venue is gone?
…and for God’s sake! Please put the shirt back on!
Comment by Joe M on 27 February 2008 at 11:05 am:
“unlike that other snarky Polack who shall remain nameless, except that his name is JoeM.”
You know you love it!
Comment by Von Cracker on 27 February 2008 at 1:26 pm:
Bill Buckley…..Gore Vidal out-lives you!!!
RIP – you racist excrement….
Comment by Dorian Gray on 27 February 2008 at 3:41 pm:
Noam Chomsky out-lived him as well. Maybe liberals are healthier.
Comment by TPN on 27 February 2008 at 8:13 pm:
Indeed Vidal outlived Buckley and, in fact, is older than WFB Jr.
But Noam has just 3 years to go, to exceed Buckley in his time on Earth.
Will that be sufficient time finally to slay the ultimate boogeyman of world-spread capitalism and usher in the grand people’s global socialist revolution?
Comment by donviti on 27 February 2008 at 9:49 pm:
keep your bells in your pants nemski
Comment by liberalgeek on 27 February 2008 at 10:37 pm:
I’m in for DL on Thursday. See some of you there.
Pandora, just look for the well-heeled gentlemen at the bar.
We’ll tell them where we will be.
Comment by Von Cracker on 27 February 2008 at 11:51 pm:
We’ll see Tyler…we’ll see. ;-D
Comment by donviti on 28 February 2008 at 7:41 am:
I am so there! I plan on wearing my orange Tux ala Jim Carrey wooohoooo
Comment by X Stryker on 28 February 2008 at 10:38 am:
I’ll be there, and possibly with my wife, too. Looking forward to meeting you folks.
Comment by nemski on 28 February 2008 at 11:49 am:
I’ll be wearing the “I’m fucking Donviti” t-shirt.
Comment by cassandra m on 28 February 2008 at 12:35 pm:
And here I was actually thinking about dropping in…..
Comment by Pandora on 28 February 2008 at 1:51 pm:
Come on, Cassandra. I’ll be there. I’ll be embarrassed if I’m the only wine drinker.
Comment by TPN on 28 February 2008 at 3:05 pm:
Anyone think this is a better venue (for good reason tonight…)
CFF Benefit at Logan House
Tonight, Thursday, Feb 28 at Kelly’s Logan House in Wilmington (doors open 7pm)
J. Roddy Walston and the Business and FatDaddyHasBeen rock the House for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Doors open at 7 pm so don’t be late. A small donation of ten bucks gets you TWO awesome bands, drink specials, raffles, and most importantly a chance to support a great cause.
Comment by liberalgeek on 28 February 2008 at 3:21 pm:
Don’t be trying to disrupt our Drinking Liberally party, Republican…
Comment by TPN on 28 February 2008 at 3:38 pm:
Well dang I am sorry to ask youze Demmycrats to combine your leftie boozfest with a gathering for charity…is there nothing a Republican can do right rouncheeah?
Comment by nemski on 28 February 2008 at 3:46 pm:
Tyler, if a band is playing we wouldn’t be able to hear our sactimonious selves pontificating.
Comment by TPN on 28 February 2008 at 3:49 pm:
The bands are upstairs….downstairs is a regular bar scene. But it could be a bit crowded…hopefully for the CFF anyway.
Comment by donviti on 28 February 2008 at 4:10 pm:
uh, Kelly’s isn’t loud downstairs? hello, are you kidding. I guess it depends on how full it is. Maybe at 11 am, not that’d I know, but I’ve heard
Comment by TPN on 28 February 2008 at 4:21 pm:
11 am? What, do you start your drinking at noon, dv?
Comment by Pandora on 28 February 2008 at 4:24 pm:
Drinking at noon? Very European. Did I mention I’m Italian?
Comment by TPN on 28 February 2008 at 4:47 pm:
Drinking at 7 am is also European…if you consider Ireland part of Europe. Did I mention I am half-Irish?
Comment by Pandora on 28 February 2008 at 4:53 pm:
I’ve got some Irish, too. Also some Russian. I’m doomed!
Comment by nemski on 28 February 2008 at 4:57 pm:
So is 7PM a Republican 7PM or a Democrat 7PM (really 7:20PM)?
Comment by Brian on 28 February 2008 at 5:14 pm:
Tyler,
Me too. Maybe the drinking is already started….we are missing out here.
