Tom Gordon, the former county executive who was under federal indictment for corruption charges relating to his time in office, said Wednesday he is “considering” another run at the government’s top administrative post.

Tom: some may think badly of you. Some may think the Bush Dept of Justice had nothing to do with your demise. I and many others have always questioned their motives! Yes, I still have the “Eve was framed” bumper stickers…now watch all the so called progresives jump out of the woodwork to take a swat at me!

The “using a swat team approach” needs to be put in context. I was trying to describe a rapid response to events surrounding SB4 in Dover. In no way did I mean roaring in with a belligerent force. You know that, you’re just stirring up stuff.
Liz, you delight in taking my words out of context and I’m getting tired of it. You’ve repeatedly beaten me about the head because I once made a remark, four years ago, that I didn’t know much about politics in the City and PDD didn’t do much there because we wouldn’t know what to do. It seemed like a reasonable and honest response at the time.

Rebecca: If PDD was truly a progressive group, you would be supporting single payer health care (as the National Progressive Democrats do and if you go to downwithabsolutes) you can see all those “zealots” who do support nationwide and in Delaware. Your little group decided to go against this progressive/ job saver policy and opted to go with a continuation of the “corporate stranglehold” over our citizens, which continues a “sicko” for profit health care system.
Your little group have tried to stop/personally attack/ all who have supported it, through “back stabbing”, demonizing the author of that bill, Dr. Floyd McDowell, and your little group began a vicious email campaign against Dr. McDowell.
Your assumption at the one meeting we had with Karen Peterson, (who we came to the meeting to encourage to run for Governor) was that “people will be running across the borders to sign up for health care”. You had no knowledge on the topic, obviously havent studied the topic, and have done everything you can to prevent this legislation which is the best remedy to keep our jobs in Delaware, to have all citizens in the program, rid our state system of the “for profitteers corporate insurance company and hmos” a plan concocted by Richard Nixon.
I don’t need to join you, but would if you actually adopted “real” progressive ideas, instead of keeping “corporations from paying a dime into health care” as one Senator has stated again and again.
When I was running for State Rep. against Hazel Plant, I called you. I had hoped that your group would have at least permitted me to speak to your group, explain the issues I was bringing to the table, but instead I got a quick answer that “your group was not going to engage in Wilmington, because of the politics there”!
I am not interested in joining another group, I am no longer a democrat but a proud Independent Party of Delaware member. We are a group that is solidly for good government, non partisan legislation, who are not interested in “party” politics.
I have also heard through the grapevine that some in your group are talking about a “Liz Allen” takedown! How progressive!
You see, Liz, anyone can put in any name. When words are blue and underlined they can be clicked on. If you clicked on the name, you would see that it was the website of one of our other regular contributors, “Nemski”
One doesn’t need access to IP addresses or anything other than ones wits to figure it out.
