Why are the Japanese kicking the American auto industry asses again?

WINNIPEG — Ford Canada has pulled an ad from newspapers in Saskatchewan and Manitoba after concerns it may promote vehicle thefts.

The full-page ad in a Winnipeg newspaper displays the rear bumper of a vehicle which appears to sport a sticker that reads “Drive it like you stole it,” and underneath “Built for life in Manitoba”.

Ok, granted it’s Canada, but still it’s Ford. Seriously man who though this would be a good slogan?

    R. U. Sirius has an interesting take on all of this:

The point is that it’s quite easy to point the finger at Ford and make them the bad guy, but the real responsibility rests with the media outlets themselves, and their pursuit of this exercise in triviality type of reporting as a result of their own failures is nothing short of hypocrisy.

Its about health care costs in America! When will you people understand why business is leaving….for profit health care, heavy workmans compensation. Toyota was going to build their plant in the US, until they discovered like so many others….it will cost them $1500 more to build any car in America, than in a country that has universal health care.

I tell you this health care issue will destroy Delaware! When Alan Mueller pointed out to the dimwitted legislators about DP&L, and then we got the 59% hike…they refused to listen to reason. How many more jobs will leave this state before people wake up to the real problem…FOR PROFIT HEALTH CARE.

…and therfore we need Mike Protack to be elected Governor, so he can enact Delacare 2008! And save what automobile industry is left in Delaware…
