Did you know…?

Taxes are too high?
Republicans have “family values?”
Taxes are pure evil?
Attacking Iraq was a super idea?
We need to attack Iran?
Democrats want to give your 6 year old girls condoms so that they can be forced into forced into having abortions by 12?
Mike Castle is great?

It is all true according to that genius Steve Forbes.

Obama to Open Up Shop in DE

I just got this email from the Obama campaign.

Hi, my name is Brandon Hurlbut and I worked on the political staff for the Obama for America campaign in NH beginning last April.

The Obama campaign is going to compete aggressively to win DE. I am the first staff member assigned to DE and will be arriving in DE today where I will be temporarily staying with Rob Carver who has volunteered significant time helping us get off the ground in your state. I am excited to meet and work with all of you. With your help and guidance, we can win DE and put another state on the board for Barack on Feb 5th.

Our first priority will be to secure a office space where we can gather to make phone calls and host meetings. Please let me know if you have any ideas – especially if the space can be donated for a few weeks. I hope you will volunteer to help Barack win DE – please call me to let me know how you would like to be involved. Thanks again!

Markell Vs. Carney Primary Fails to Thrill Republicans

Oh how the DEGOP prayed for a bloodbath (very Republican that).

Anyway, by now it is obvious to everyone that Markell vs. Carney will be settled on the ground and on the issues.  Not through the Republican “cage match” method which is a zero sum game that leaves one “winner” and two angry factions.
No.  Everywhere you go you only hear positive things about both Democratic candidates.  So whoever wins will pick up most of the other’s supporters the very next day.  That was the primary I had hoped for and that is the primary we are getting.

Well done Jack!

Good work John!

Keep it up guys.  The only thing I like better than happy Democrats is sad Republicans.

Alan Levin Will Not Break His Silence Tomorrow, Still Worried About Protack

Keep in mind that this is Wrong Williams so it is equally likely that Levin will make a big announcement tomorrow.

Alan Levin’s still not ready to campaign
OPINION
Ron Williams
Tomorrow is Alan Levin’s last day as chairman of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and then he’ll be free to run for governor. He’s expected to file the required paperwork later this month, but don’t expect an announcement until February.

I don’t know who’s running this seemingly reluctant campaign schedule. While Democrats John Carney and Jack Markell are out raising millions of dollars, Levin keeps getting tagged in the media as the expected or suspected or unannounced Republican candidate. It makes the campaign and Levin look suspiciously unsure of themselves.

Meanwhile, we recently discovered who’s not running the Levin campaign, despite a Dec. 5 item here to the contrary. Don Mell, the former campaign manager for Bill Lee’s gubernatorial runs, has walked as chief strategist for Levin, according to an inside source.

Do we already have turmoil in a campaign that hasn’t even opened yet?

Word from Republicans is that the campaign infrastructure for Levin — when it’s announced — will include several former staffers from the 2000 Bill Roth fiasco, which included bad polling data and led to the election of Tom Carper.

Levin himself was a Roth staff member before he took over as CEO of the Happy Harry’s drugstore back in the 1980s.

First Castle leaves a big question mark hanging in the air and now this? Like WIlliams or hate him, that is a pretty bruising editorial and it is a sad fact that more Delawarean’s read Williams than read this blog.

Whatever happens Levin has managed to give everyone the impression that he is half hearted at best.

This is not the America I learned about in school

I would hope that even my republican readers agree that this is some un-American activity.

Admirers of Constitution Booted for Wearing Impeach T-shirts in DC
kos diarists by Ralph Lopez

With the original First Amendment “Freedom of Speech” looking on, admirers of the U.S. Constitution in the Washington D.C. National Archives Building today were ordered to leave for wearing tee-shirts reading “Impeach Bush and Cheney.” Many of the tourist-activists were in town to hail the arrival of impeachment marcher John Nirenberg, the 61 year-old college professor who has just walked from Boston to D.C. to call attention to the need for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney.

In a telephone interview, one of the participants, Susan Serpa, age 56, told me she was looking at the displays when a female security guard approached her and said “You need to go speak to that man over there” indicating a burly security guard. When Serpa asked why, the woman said: “Your shirt.” Serpa’s shirt reads on the front: “Impeach Bush and Cheney, Change History.” On the reverse it says: “MaineImpeach.org.”

Other security guards then approached Serpa and told her: “You need to leave because of your shirt.”…
