Al, if what you say is true, then doesn’t this argue for Jack Markell taking on Castle? As you say, if Carney never won anything of importance, Jack is then the better candidate to help the D’s claim the House seat.

Markell is a gifted (albeit shameless) self promoter. We are seeing a sneak preview of how a Markell Administration would operate.

“Government by task force” replaced with “Government by press release.”

Basically, if you want to start running around claiming people don’t know how to “work with” the General Assembly, maybe you ought to cough up some examples of Carney influencing the Senate leadership instead of the power and influence running in the other direction….

He has, however, challenged the good ol’ boy closed-door way of doing business, especially when it comes to how a few legislators have anonymously thwarted the will of the many.

I consider that a real good thing, and it is the kind of leadership I would want in a new Governor.

If this race is to be decided on who best challenges the narrow visionless self-serving status quo currently enveloping Dover, then Markell has laid his marker down in a most effective manner.

Denn never stooped to this, trying to score political points at the expense of the other people he needed to work with to achieve a policy goal. If he did, he never would have gotten anything accomplished.

Refer me to his “bitch slap” letter if you would.

It’s the only way to actually get things done, as opposed to the cheap political theater that Markell has stooped to here.

This letter proves Markell has no conception of how to actually get things done in our state capitol. He would rather score cheap political points that get lapped up by the blogarazzi. The guy is a minute steak.

A couple of years ago another state-wide office holder attacked the Leg Hall for its foot-dragging on health care issues; his name was Mat Denn. Seemed to work well there.

This really speaks volumes about how little Markell knows about getting things done in Dover. I mean seriously, this is pretty pitiful.

If this is how the guy communicates with Legislative Leadership and members of the Administration to advance an important policy goal then he has no business running for Governor (or even remaining the State Treasurer).

If only we could harness the hot air machine that is the Markell PR operation, we would solve all of our energy problems, and then some.
