Romney Vows: US Will Quit The League Of Nations!
Multiple Choice Mitt decides that the US should pull out of organizations that we’re already out of:

“The United Nations has been an extraordinary failure of late,” Romney said during a South Carolina campaign stop. “We should withdraw from the United Nations Human Rights Council.”

There’s one problem: The United States already boycotts the Human Rights Council, and has not sought a seat on it. This caused an aide to clarify the remarks by saying what Romney really meant is that the U.S. should stop any possible financial support for the council.

Apparently, under a Romney Administration, we will also be boycotting the Warsaw Pact, refusing to recognize the Ottoman Empire, and denouncing the formation of the juvenile army to fight the Children’s Crusade.

The real point here is that the United Nations is such a boogeyman on the right, such an effigy that must be burned, that candidates must reject it in full, even if they’re completely ignorant of its organization.

Also – The R’s are falling all over themselves to show that they are the most blood thirsty killer in the bunch.

McCain Flip Flops on wanting to peronally shoot Osama Bin Laden

ROCHESTER, N.H. — Republican presidential candidate John McCain told workers of small weapons factory that he not only wants to catch Osama Bin Laden if elected, but said he “will shoot him with your products.”

“I will follow Osama Bin Laden to the gates of hell and I will shoot him with your products,” McCain said.

McCain told reporters afterward he was joking when he made the comment at Thompson Center Arms in Rochester.

“I certainly didn’t mean I would actually shoot him. I am certainly angry at him, but I was only speaking in a way that was trying to emphasize my point,” McCain said. “I would not shoot him myself.” [emphasis added]

The United Nations is one of the biggest “Hate America” organizations in the world. Second only to the Democratic party.

No he’s not Biden. Biden gets away with crap like that.

  4. Dana says:

Well, perhaps if someone can tell me of what use the United Nations is?

  5. Dana,

The UN is a treasure trove of spying information for the US. Otherwise it is an anti American debating society.

I always thought admission to the UN should be based on the requirement to have open elections and a democratic government. Might be worth something?

  6. Dorian Gray says:

    U-S-A U-S-A. We’re number 1. We’re number 1.

This is like the soccer analogy. Every other country thinks it just about the best thing ever. Most red neck Americans prefer Nascar and punkin’ chunkin’. But we’re the USA so we must be right. We’re always right. Right?

Boycott France! Pass the freedom fries and flush your champagne. News flash.. if everyone thinks you’re fucked up but you, you’re probably fucked up.

It’s funny the same Bush & Co. dipshits who complain about the UN and make comments like the one above are best friends with the King Abdullah. Saudi Arabia won’t allow woman to drive and have public beheadings. No neo-con seems to have any big issue with it. And don’t even get me started about Pakistan.

Side note – Remember when UN hater Bolton got the recess appointment to the UN. When he stepped out of the car his first day on the East Side the New Yorkers on the street meet him with boos. I guess New Yorkers hate America.

Don’t y’all know that the Great SkyDad talks directly to soon-to-be USA-Dad, MittardWillard, through his specially designed underwear?

What a stupid loser – just like Chrissy-poo.

  8. Von Cracker says:

Well, Mr. Protack, you’ve just stated the “American Case of Exceptionalism” of the day. So, if a country is non-democratic, they shouldn’t be allowed, or chartered, with the UN?

What about Russia? Not really a democratic country, by any sense of the word, unless the disappearance of rivals is an expected part of the process. How about China?

Don’t you think having the UN during the Cuban missile crisis had any benefit? How about the propagation of Bush’s war in 2002? It worked for the Neo-con (if you lie)!

A very stupid statement from someone wanting to run for high office…..

  9. G Rex says:

The soccer analogy? Do you mean how the football players got more chicks than us soccer players in high school, even though we won All States twice? (It just doesn’t matter! It just doesn’t matter!)

What Romney has sketched out is not doing away with the UN entirely but rather setting up a sort of shadow UN, with membership based on adherence to democratic principles, free markets and so on. The UNHRC has become a joke, ever since the US was voted off by the General Assembly, in favor of such paragons of virtue as Sudan and Libya, and at present exists only to pass resolutions against Israel.

  10. G Rex says:

Oh, and as for recognition of the Ottoman Empire, Speaker Pelosi sure thinks they’re relevant enough to give them a stern talking to about the Armenians.

  11. Ryan says:

The UN isn’t worth withdrawing from. We should stop fitting the majority of the bill for its existence, though.
