Take a few minutes and listen to the leaked audio of the police interview with Larry Craig.  Say good night, Gracie.

  1. This Senator seems to suffering from a bad case of a witch hunt. This audio seems to completely exonerate him.

  2. liberalgeek says:

    You are smoking crack David.

  3. jason330 says:

IF by “completely exonerate” you mean confirm his guilt, then yes…completely exonerated.

I guess you missed the first hand witness who happened to be a police officer.

  4. liberalgeek says:

Do you think that the cop sounds like he is on a witch hunt? This guy sees this stuff a dozen times a week. This audio shows that Craig was trying to come up with excuses from moment one. Let me ask you a personal question…

Have you EVER touched another mans foot in the stall next to you? I have crapped in a number of public restrooms (remind me to tell you about the K-Mart in Maui some time). I have never, ever touched another persons foot under the stall.

I also try to never pick up a stray piece of T.P. on the floor in a public restroom.

Go sleep it off, David. You may have a moment of clarity when the liver completes its work.

  5. I don’t think bumping a person’s foot is a crime. I am not familiar with gay signals, but It certainly does not rise to the level of hysteria we have here.

I am convinced that there is no crime based upon the statements in this audio tape and the lack of other evidence. How in the world is that illegal solicitation? Were is the money? Why was the officer’s foot by Craig’s stall? Do you normally stick your foot over to the edge of a stall and then reach your hand down with a card like the officer did liberalgeek?

I don’t care if Craig is straight or bi. I do care that this is some sort of abuse by law enforcement and the hysteria which followed is nothing more than a witch hunt.

That is why they let him plead to disorderly conduct without even having a lawyer intervene.

There would be no case. I guess the only people against whom this tripe would stand is conservative office holder. No evidence is necessary only sensational allegations.

  6. jason330 says:

Is tapping your foot really code for public sex?

Yes. The signal has been around for decades in the United States and Europe. Generally, one person initiates contact by tapping his foot in a way that’s visible beneath the stall divider. If the second person responds with a similar tap, the initiator moves his foot closer to the other person’s stall. If the other person makes a similar move, the first will inch closer yet again. The pair usually goes through the whole process a few times, just to confirm that the signals aren’t an accident.

Next, one of the men will slide his hand under the divider. This usually means he’s inviting the other person to present himself, as if to say, “Show me what you got.” The partner can respond by kneeling on the floor and presenting his penis or rear end underneath the divider. Or he can swipe his own hand under the divider, as if to say, “You go first.” Some married men make a point of displaying their wedding band to make themselves more alluring.

Much more than you ever wanted to know.

  7. liberalgeek says:

And the card that the officer showed under the divider was to let Caig know that he was busted. His response to seeing it? “No!”

  8. watcher in the skies says:

David, get a clue. “I am not familiar with gay signals…”

To quote the Geico caveman, “Next time, maybe do a little research.”

  9. It is not a crime. Unless there is money exchanged or he actually invited him to have sex there. I don’t need to do research to know what a crime is nor do I need to do research to see you liberals are a bunch of hypocrites.

Read Ben Stein’s article. Craig was lynched twice. It is interesting Rush and Ben are defending personal liberty while the left forms a lynch mob.

  10. liberalgeek says:

Poppycock! He didn’t just tap his foot, as Ben Stein says. He engaged in a ritual that indicates a desire to have sex in a public restroom. Just as in many sting operations, he doesn’t have to actually complete the transaction to break the law. Do undercover cops have to actually have sex to bust a john for soliciting? No, the mere request is a violation of law. Just because the request was with non-verbal, yet unmistakable code doesn’t mean that it isn’t a solicitation.

I repeat my questions to you, have you EVER touched another man under the partition of a stall accidentally? Do you know anyone who has? How about putting your hand under the stall? How about picking up a piece of paper on the floor in a stall (although in this case there was no paper).

    This was solicitation.

As for hypocrites, Hypocrite, heal thyself. No Democrat has called for Craig’s resignation, only Republicans have. Craig’s sexuality means nothing to me. His voters, on the other hand, voted for him for his views on DOMA, “Family Values,” and fundamentalist Christian morays. He violated those and his voters are calling for his resignation.

It is the Republicans that have used Taliban-style rhetoric as a wedge in this country. It turns out that they have been spitting in the wind. I won’t feel bad when they catch it full in the face.
