Al Qaeda Strikes again

this is a special post for those of you people that want to believe Al Qaeda is causing all the violence in Iraq

Kidnappings of Iraqis, usually for ransom and sometimes by sectarian death squads, are an everyday happening in Iraq, occurring by some estimates as often as 30 to 40 times a day across the nation. Kidnappings of foreigners — most often contractors, but sometimes journalists, soldiers or workers from relief organizations — are much more rare and have come in waves, according to the Brookings Institution’s Iraq Index

key word = SECTARIAN

Elsewhere in Baghdad on Tuesday, 24 people were killed and 51 were injured when a minibus exploded in a crowded commercial district in central Baghdad, said a senior Iraqi police official, who was not authorized to be quoted by name. The blast occurred in Tayaran Square, a bustling market and commercial area where Shiites frequently catch commuter buses to their jobs in Sadr City.

The official said that the bodies of 21 men — all handcuffed, blindfolded and shot to death — were found overnight in an orchard near Baqubah, 35 miles northeast of the capital. And the bodies of 11 men were found in Mahmudiyah, about 15 miles south of Baghdad, inside a small cargo truck. All had been tortured and shot, he said.

Now please go back to the “letting our soldiers die over there, so we don’t have to fight them over here mantra”
