Let’s get this Party Started – Wind Power

Filed in Uncategorized by on April 27, 2007

Hi all. I have added a page that outlines what each and every one of us can do to make wind power a reality. It is a blueprint for how to apply pressure to the various branches of government to get maximize our chances of getting our wind farm approved. This page is now always visible at the top of DelawareLiberal.

If you are a casual reader, read the page and see how you can get involved.

If you are a blogger, please link to it so that we can maximize our exposure here.

If you are a politician, consider yourself on notice. We will not be deterred.

  • If NGR wins because of the actions of politicians, those actions will be called to account.
  • If NRG wins because of inaction of politicians, see above.
  • If NRG wins, please watch this space for the politicians that deserve kudos for fighting on the right side.
  • If Bluewater wins, we all win.

We can win this fight by applying the requisite pressure. We already have the support of many people on both sides of the aisle, politically. Please help out with this effort. We will be adding information to the page over the course of the next few days, but we need to get started now. So check back regularly for more refined ideas. (h/t JS, DR & TN).

I’m going to need to get started on this right away. I’m not sure I know 20 people.

    Hey Geek!
The Senate Committee on Energy and the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and the Environment are both meeting on Wednesday afternoon (May 2) to take up the Wind Power issue.

We’ve got a bus — The Wind Rider Express — leaving from Fairfax Shopping Center on Concord Pike (next to the Acme) at 2:00 on Wednesday afternoon headed for Leg Hall. From there we’ll march over to the Governor’s office. The ride is FREE! Bring signs, noise makers and friends. You must reserve a seat by emailing Rebecca at young.rh@comcast.net or calling 302-234-3364. If we need more buses we’ll get them. A huge demonstration will make a difference.

Everybody spread the word and bring your friends.

    Onward!

Oh BTW – going to Dover on Wednesday isn’t INSTEAD of writing your letters this weekend, it’s in ADDITION TO writing your letters this weekend.

  4. Tyler Nixon says:

Rebecca, that is awesome! Are Republicans allowed on the bus?? If so (and I have no sudden work conflicts) COUNT ME IN!

  5. Tom Gray says:
