Mike Castle Hates Military PeopleAn anonymous benefactor is offering a $100 prize to the best anti-Mike Castle/pro-Executive Branch accountability ad created and posted to YouTube between now and April 30th.

Inspired by this Dr. Nick post an anonymous benefactor has stepped forward to fund a $100 prize to be awarded to the most creative and effective YouTube ad highlighting Michael Castle’s willingness to defy the wishes of his constituents and stick with George Bush on Iraq.

The ad does not need to follow the script of the original but should clearly call Michael Castle to account for his vote to shut off funding for the troops and keep America involved in Iraq’s civil war indefinitely.

The entries will be posted on DelawareLiberal as they come in and a winner will be voted on during the week of April 16th.

This should stir the pot a bit. There must be some college kids with lap tops around who could use an extra $100.

My investments in Haliburton have done well, but I’m not exactly “frightland” rich.

how can I get in touch with Jason? I need to send him an email….

Castle looks like a santanic Col. Harlan Sanders in that picture.

    Donviti,

Karl Rove thinks Mike Castle might retire. In the GSA PowerPoint check out page 25 – 2008 GOP House Defense, where Castle is listed as a secondary GOP “defense” with an asterisk, denoting “Member may not seek re-election.”

  7. an0nym00se says:

Meanwhile, in a SundaySource blurb in last week’s WashPost, Castle was listed as possibly running for Senate.

I suppose anything is possible, but it doesn’t seem likely unless one of the incumbents takes a powder. The GSA PowerPoint didn’t mention Delaware as a possible Senate pickup.

He is far too old for that, and anyway that would only be if Biden’s Presidential campaign catches fire which would be like a bucket of water catching on fire.

  10. liberalgeek says:

Or if Biden becomes Sec of State. Could it be that Castle has given up hope of an R winning the White House?

  11. anon says:

Or if Biden becomes Sec of State.

Not likely to happen before the 2008 election we are talking about here.

Unless Bush and Cheney are impeached simultaneously and Biden is nominated by President Pelosi. But if Bush is impeached it isn’t likely to happen without first installing a caretaker VP a la Gerald Ford.

Oh! “President Pelosi.” Sorry, I just wanted to say that again.

  12. anon says:

… and even if Biden is re-elected he’s not going to the Cabinet unless the Senate has a comfortable Dem majority (which seems likely).

Another round of musical chairs? Does Carper get to be Governor now?

  14. watcher in the skies says:

The Castle-will-retire rumors started about two minutes after his stroke, and they were being attributed to his wife. I would put more stock in the Rove list than any media speculation.
