Mike Castle picks Bush over Delaware
Michael Castle’s vote against the troops proves once and for all that his loyalty is to Bush and not the people who elected him. Of the 62 Republicans in marginal districts who voted to endorse Bush’s continuing mismanagement of the war – Castle’s vote was the loudest “Fuck YOU!!!” to any constituents in the country.
Delaware clearly does not trust George Bush. Delaware clearly does not want to continue Bush’s war, but Castle does. Think about it. The people who elected him think Bush is a screw-up and want out of Iraq – but Castle doesn’t – so fuck ya’ll.

What was Castle thinking?
I’ve heard Al Mascitti argue on number of occasions that Castle’s loyalty to Bush is virtue. I don’t get it.
Hey, Castle chaired the Bush Campaign in Delaware in 2004. Kerry carried the state but Castle won anyway. And then he won again in 2006. It’s the Delaware Way and Castle is banking on it again in 2008. It’s been reported in The Hill and the local press that the DCCC is targeting Castle’s seat in 2008. I wonder if the D-trip can do what we’ve failed to do. Show Delaware voters what Castle hasn’t done for them lately.
If Castle can be successfully tied to Bush in voter’s minds he will lose. The way to create that tie is with a sustained campaign of TV ads emphasizing specific unpopular votes in Castle’s pro-Bush voting record. That is an expensive campaign in Delaware’s media market. In the meantime, Delaware is being lulled by sorry AM radio types and the News Journal who only want to talk about what a “nice guy” Castle is, and who keep calling Castle a “moderate” despite his record.
