Calling All Wingnuts!

Filed in Uncategorized by on February 28, 2007

From the extensive network of sources that I have (1 so far) comes this nice tip:

The Delaware GOP is calling for help in the special election to replace Wayne Smith. Our own FSP posted this plea on RedState.com:

“What we need more than anything is boots for election day.”
…um, well for boots, he definitely went to the right place!

Apparently FSP envisions hordes of pumped-up Republicans descending onDelaware. Or as we call it, Race Weekend. Unfortunately the RedState readership is currently preoccupied by its full-time search for a Presidential candidate to the right of George W. Bush. Read the RedState comments; they are amusing in their indifference toward the plight of the Delaware GOP.

Thanks source.

  1. Leave no stone unturned.

“they are amusing in their indifference toward the plight of the Delaware GOP.”

    You should see my inbox.

  2. anon says:

    You should see my inbox.

Dave already has $6 billion in pledges from the Nigerian Royal Family!

  3. What do you mean? They’re not legit?

  4. motnewbie says:

Ew, Dave, keep your inbox out of this.

  5. Rummy says:

What we need more than anything is boots for election day.

Do we need more boots? Yes.

Are we going to get them? No.

You go into a special with the boots you have, not the boots you wish you had.

  6. Dave, you may be out of your league here. Keep your boxers down in slower lower.
If you influx the Ardens with a khaki-clad army of young GOPer thugs (paid for by a faith-based PAC-driven non-profit?) it will back fire.

I think John Kearney of the Little Head Committee(http://www.decleansweep.com/) has already printed the flyers to post to warn these gentle constituents of the impending invasion of foreigner on our first state soils.

  7. MOT Newbie says:

I didn’t realize that RD 7 was confined to Arden. Hmm. I’m sure the RD7 Claymonters won’t appreciate that isolation, something they have felt geographically since 2002.

Arden is only a small part of the larger RD7. Plus, young GOPers from Sussex? Surely, you jest!

  8. Rebecca says:

    Hey hey!

An open seat in the 7th. Believe me the GOPer’s aren’t going to walk away from this and the Dems see the first ray of sunlight we’ve seen in this District for a long time. Sorry voters in the 7th District, but you just target numero uno for the boots from both parties. And, Claymont, remember Carl Colantuon loves ya!

  9. Opps, didn’t mean to step on any toes in the 7th, I was just up to my usual button-pushing fun.
I just got off of the phone with Carl. He says that the Wednesday night DEM district meeting is open to all registered DEMs (7p.m. Claymont Community Center – Senior Center). so I hope that many of his supporters will show up.

DEMs have a golden opportunity here.

  10. Nancy — Funny how your blind partisanship sees nothing wrong with all of the paid union boots that the Dems import from Jersey on E-Day, but me reaching out to neighboring states to try and keep up is somehow untoward.

And I have a stake in who is elected in the 7th. That person will vote on legislation that affects me and all other Sussex Countians.

  11. I was joshing ya Dave!
Come on you know me by now.
But your request on RedState for out-of-town boots on our ground was just to hilarious to pass up a good ribbing about. 🙂
