George Bush Doesn’t Care About Old Ladies

Filed in National by on February 21, 2007

HelenI did not know it, but there are assigned seats for ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. in the front row of the White House press room. The one seat not labelled with a news organization is the one Labelled “Helen Thomas.” Well, when the new press room is opened in a few months, Helen will have to move to the second row. Due to a realignment of the seating, there will be an additional seat in the front row, thus clearing out 2 seats. The presumed new tenants are CNN and Faux News.

Helen, I say, “Sit in the Fox seat and dare them to ask you to move.”

She should get a pimped-out electric wheelchair and park it in front of Fox… THEN dare them to ask her to move.

    And a really big hat.

I’d be more than happy to supply her with an electric drill so she can force herself into the front row.

This has to be a deliberate move, and it’s a damn shame.

The article seems to indicate that this was a decision that was voted on by the press corps. I don’t know how that works, but she was pretty good humored about it, FWIW.

How she can sit through the hours and hours of lies and bullshit is beyond me.

Of course it’s a deliberate move – they should put that crazy old bat in the back row.
